1886 eruption
Following along an easy pathway we will be on the look out for explosive cones in unusual shapes, and an enormous canal of lava originating from this eruption.
Arriving at the top of the crater the view overlooks the Ionic sea and the entire southern side of Mount Etna.
During this day trip we will visit a grotto formed from the lava flow.

PSYCHO-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: not suitable for people with health problems in particular with problems to the cardio-respiratory.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
We recommend that all our members wear trekking shoes, with the correct socks, and bring a wind-jacket because the temperature can be 10-15°C colder than in the towns. Please also bring 2 litres of water.
